Inspired by the call of motherland, the group started exploring options to establish a community oriented rural ecosystem driven business setup. The make in Odisha campaign presented the opportunity to see the pragmatic change in industry and administration scenario in the state.
The group explored several avenues from aquaculture, vegetable processing, floriculture and came across the defunct oil mill of erstwhile Oil Odisha.

AKM Agro Processing was established in 2017, and acquired the current land from Govt. Of Odisha at Khordha Industrial Area in 2019. The project was ground broken by Honbl'e Chief Minister on Feb 24, 2019.
The company has set up a mutiline Edible Oil Processing unit and setting up a state of the art vegetable processing Unit. Current Edible Oil processing Unit was inaugurated by Honbl'e Chief Minister on Mar 07, 2020.
