Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, AKM Group is the brainchild of Ajit Kumar Mishra a son of Odisha. the group has business interests in diverse geography like far-east, west-Africa, Middle-east, Europe and India. Post Make-in-Odisha in 2016, the urge to give back to the society took shape as AKM Agro. The company acquired the current manufacturing facility in Khordha Industrial Area to operate on a community based agro processing model.
Mr. Ajit Mishra chairman of AKM Group of companies, an entrepreneur hailing from Odisha. The group operates in UAE, South Africa, India dealing in multiple domains of Agro and agro inputs, Frozen food, Animal Feed, Logistics, Supply chain, Warehousing, Shipping and Food processing.
Mr. Mishra is an alumni of Ravenshaw College, Symbiosis Pune and Harvard Business School. Starting his career from Marico Industries, he has attained several heights in India and abroad in top management positions such as MD in Kewalram Chanrai Group, Affcot Nigeria, Olam Ivoire before foraying into entrepreneurship. Best part of his career were focused in setting up and operating state-of-art oil milling and refineries in various location in Affcott, Sunseeds etc.
He has been involved in oil, oil products business for last 10 years. Also AKM’s Dubai ventures are in direct distribution of food products and deal with international trade of various oil, fatty acid for both domestic and industrial use.
Mr. Amiya. K. Mishra is a dynamic entrepreneur is a non-resident Indian. With a seasoned legal education background, he has more than 25 years of experience in various environments of commercial, legal, statutory and business fields.
An alumni of IIM, bangalore, and MS law college, Cuttack, he has worked in many reputed organizations like JK Paper prior to join the group operataions at UAE.
His domain expertise lies with intensive exposure to Industrial, Commercial legal practice. Meditation and Arbitration of Community and Environmental litigations.
Mr. Bhabani S. Swamy is a social entrepreneur. He is an alumni of Ravenshaw College, Utkal & Manipal Univeristy where he received his master’s in Information Technology. A certified blockchain strategist from Said Business School, University of Oxford, he currently devotes his time to small farm agri food and sutainable livelihood.
TAn amalgamation of technology and commercial expertise, he has more than 15 years of experience in various environments of commercial, IT, supply chain, Big Data Analysis, MIS operations, Blockchain & International Trade. He is also the face of new generation of ethical social entrepreneurship and brings a multifaceted young world view to the team.
Mr. Swamy has worked in various diverse environments viz, China, South Africa, West Africa, Middle East and India. He has worked different fields of SCM, ERP, Nationwide application implementation, as well as trade and commerce. Prior to starting up social enterprises in India in SFAF (Small Farm Agri Foods) he had worked with AKM group as commercial director in Middle East.
